EduTech: Interlinked Platform for National Education Data

This major project involved designing and developing an integrated web platform aimed at synchronizing student data across School, Higher, and Technical Education verticals in India. The core motivation was to overcome the lack of a centralized student database needed for effective educational policy framing and intervention.

The project successfully demonstrates expertise in data integration, Python back-end development (Flask), and the capacity to build systems with significant social and governmental policy implications, resulting in three peer-reviewed publications.

The Policy & Data Problem

  • Gap in Master Database

Framing targeted education policies is difficult due to the absence of a master database tracking students across various academic levels (school to technical).

  • Objective: Dropout and Grey Area Identification

The platform's key objective was to enable the identification of dropout percentages (State/District-wise) and grey areas requiring specific resource allocation, providing real-time data for policy makers.

Technical Architecture

    Core Stack
  • Python (Flask) - Back-end application logic
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript - Front-End interface
  • MS Access / pyodbc - Database integration method
  • Data & Infrastructure
  • Matplotlib & Pandas - Data visualization and analysis tools
  • Database Schema Design - Planning the interlinked data model
  • NetApp/Cloud - Consideration for deployment and storage solutions

Impact, Publications, & Achievements

  1. Best Paper Presentation - IEEE OTCON 2025

The research stemming from this platform, *A Unified Digital Space for Student Academic Achievement...*, was recognized as the Best Paper Presentation at IEEE OTCON 4.0.

  2. Policy & Synchronization Access

The project provides access to real-time synchronized data, directly addressing policy needs related to education and student upliftment across agencies.

  3. Publication Track Record (3 Papers)

The project validated my work through three publications in recognized journals and conferences, highlighting the academic rigor and real-world applicability of the solution.
